I know for a fact that the reason u will not see Daft at LA Uprising this summer is because they landed them for headliners next year. They are finally ready. They were going to have them at Uprising but its been talked about and they are going to have a new fall album so it all makes sense finally and is not BS wishful shit anymore.
Its gonna be:
DAFT PUNK PHOENIX ROLLING STONES (come on, why the FUCK is Mick hosting SNL tonight if they aren't FINALLY drumming up some press to around them so they can finally announce a 50th anniversary of the Stones tour?!).
If they cannot afford the Stones, they're backup option is:
EMINEM (he loooooooved doing Dre's set at the fest and they are bringing him an offer above just guesting on someone else's headliner slot)
...Monk, not sure why u are guessing Nine Inch Nails, they just did their final shows, why would they be brought out of retirement so fast? Not likely, what are u even basing this on? Just wishful thinking? Hoping your blog has enough heat on it to have rumors eventually become true cause you got the ball rolling on here?
If anything the Stones and Eminem will fall through and you will see someone classic inserted in there (Neil Young, Tom Petty, maybe Metallica finally).
Question, How come Bob Dylan is never really thrown around as an idea? Is it because he just doesn't put on a heavy show with visuals and doesn't really sound the same? anyone know? he did do Bonnaroo once as headliner...
@11:14 am: Even though your whole shpiel is full of shit, I will entertain your last question. Nobody considers Bob Dylan because he is dead awful live. Totally incomprehensible and a shell of what he used to be. It's a pity, but there it is.
Treasure Island: The XX, Metric, The Weeknd, Simian Mobile Disco, Frank Ocean, Feed Me, Neon Indian, Beats Antique, The Field, Chromatics, TOKiMONSTA Bon Iver, Tune-Yards, Afghan Whigs, of Montreal, Junip, The Tallest Man on Earth, Grimes, First Aid Kit, Dum Dum Girls, Kurt Vile, School of Seven Bells
I'm going to say: Pearl Jam Daft Punk Crystal Castles (album due late this summer) No Doubt Smashing pumpkins (album due late this summer) Green Day (album due in the fall) Bad Religion (album due in the fall) MGMT (album due in the fall)
Here goes: Daft (actually maybe for real) No Doubt Beyonce Green Day Coldplay U2 (roll your eyes but I actually heard from a reliable source that this was a real convo - this was the person who told me Black Keys were co-headling Friday back in September - and yes I know they didn't end up coheadling but I believe the source)
Hot Chip for Main Stage - Justice spot.
Anyone who plays Henry Fonda in LA will get preferential treatment - in my humble opinion - meaning the xx are probably a lock
and im only saying no to MBV because they will probably be billed in the same time slot they had in 09 and i dont want to stand through that again waiting for the headliner
Re: Paul Tollett and Pearl Jam, this is what was said in the OC Register:
"In years past, when Goldenvoice's chief organizer Paul Tollett and I have discussed why this band and that person have yet to play, he's always explained their absence away by worrying that having them headline would deliver a predominantly PJ crowd to Coachella, filling the field with people who just want to wait it out in upfront spots until the band hits the stage."
That rationale is no longer relevant, and since the festival sells a majority of the tickets before the lineup is even announced, there's no worry at all about having the fest filled with PJ fans camping on the rail. Coachella is far beyond worrying about that kind of problem, and Tollett doesn't have to even consider that with the way the festival is now.
True, but Pearl Jam fans getting to hump some rail is a concern for Pearl Jam. The band goes above and beyond for their fan club, so why play a fest their fans don't have a real chance of attending?
Would Blur be a headliner at this point? I mean Gorillaz were. I dunno. I like blur way better, but maybe they'd just be top sub of their day? The fuckin Killers were headliners though for crying out loud.
Blur are not headliners. Barely known in the US and were never popular here. Sub-head a la Pulp.
Pearl Jam does do a lot for its fans, but claiming they would turn down a headlining spot at one of the biggest festivals in the world out of concern for their fans' ability to get tickets is just fucking stupid.
I think they have two on lock and are waiting on the third headliner. Rolling Stones are just not likely - they just will not budge on their price. Even if it would be cool etc. Coachella will never, ever, pay artists what they paid Paul and Prince. They don't need to. Lolla on the other hand...
But I do think Beyonce is a huge possibility and Pearl Jam is totally not out of the question. Not to make a sweeping generalization but here goes: Coachella has two types of people to cater to - the people who seethe headliners, the reunion bands, and the bands that straddle the other crowd - the EDM crowd. Pearl Jam caters to the first kind like no other in a long time. Even Arcade Fire, Radiohead.
" Not to make a sweeping generalization but here goes: Coachella has two types of people to cater to - the people who seethe headliners, the reunion bands, and the bands that straddle the other crowd - the EDM crowd. Pearl Jam caters to the first kind like no other in a long time. Even Arcade Fire, Radiohead."
I think what ever u were trying to say just didn't come through. What are u saying? u make it seem like u are trying to say there are two types of people that Coachella needs to please, but then you don't list two kinds of people. are u saying that the first type of person hates headliners AND reunion bands? Huh? the people that hate headliners are the ones that LOVE the reunion bands, right? so how is the first type the people that hate both? I don't get it.
Then u say the other crowd is the dance crowd? that makes sense, that 2nd part i guess....but then u go on to say that Pearl Jam fits the crowd that hates headliners and reunion bands and does so better than RAdiohead and Arcade Fire? I just dont get what u are saying, i am not even trying to be rude here or me smarmy, so please excuse if u think my tone is off, i honestly am trying to make sense of what u are saying. please explain
9:12 Sorry was trying to say Coachella tries to please two types of crowd (FOR THE MOST PART). The EDM crowd that is moderately interested in the headliners, but certainly that's not why they are "at" Coachella. These people probably saw 1/2 Radiohead last year - all of Dr. Dre, none of Black Keys. This crowd is unique to Coachella, are not so much a mainstay at Roo, and I have no idea what Lolla is other than hot and crowded.
The other crowd which pretty much surfs between mainstage and outdoor theater. This crowd is there for the headliners, the reunion bands (Pulp, My Blood Valentine), and the occasional crossover band that even the EDM crowd likes (M83 etc.). For that crowd Pearl Jam is the ultimate get and therefore they are in the realm of possibility for Coachella. Rolling Stones are not because of price.
The clash anyone? It fits reunion and headliner. If anyone could do it it's coachella. The guitarist and bass player played with the gorillaz in 2010 and might put in a good word. It would be awesome though, just saying....
the killers for sure and you can probably pick one or the other for the second two days. Also Rage Against the Machine is a possible headliner since they have a new album out next year too.
Whoever made up the "two crowds" argument...the Sahara has always been a focus of the festival, but it has not been as consistently packed with big names since 2010, when the EDM popularity wave began to rise in California. Ever since then, the overall quality of the Sahara has been on a steep decline, ending with last year's shit show of a Sahara...how many times do you really need to hear Levels and Save the World Tonight in a week?
In fact, most people who love the EDM that graced the festival prior to 2009 are jumping ship to the Mojave, if not to another festival.
That post at 3:18 putting The Killers as a headliner is HILARIOUS.
Haven't had a hit album in 7 years, can barely sell out a high school prom, and are considered one of the biggest flops in Coachella history....yeah, they'll be back.
Please tell me the guy up a few comments above me didn't really mean it when he said that tool and rage would co-headline ?!? That's insane. Literally insane.
Skrillex, Tiesto, Blur, Stone Roses, Foster the People, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Queens of the Stone Age, Vampire Weekend, MGMT, Wu Tang Clan, Grizzly Bear, The XX, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, The Knife, Sleigh Bells
@ 8:21 - That is seriously the WORST prediction I've ever seen. Rihanna? Pitbull? Afrojack for the third fucking year in a row? This isn't your local radio station's Jingle Ball.

Pitbull has to be the stupidest guess yet, and also makes me a little sad. This used to be a festival where people got excited for My Bloody Valentine, Portishead, Aphex Twin, etc. Now Pitbull and Rihanna? Really?
when you say TOOL and Rage Against the Machine could never co-headline then i you've never seen the 1999 coachella poster. if they did co-headline it would be a throw back to 99', also because they both have new albums out next year and they are from LA.
When you say TOOL and Rage Against the Machine could never co-headline then I guess you've never seen the 1999 coachella poster. If they did co-headline it would be a throw back to 99', also because they both have new albums out next year and they are from LA.
Cpachella friend u are stupid cause I didnt mean that rage and tool can't be on the same poster, I mean they would NEVER EVER EVER NEVER EVER IN A MILLION YEARS co-headline on the same day they way that Kanye and The Strokes did in '11 It would be one or the other Or they would be on diff days PROMISE U THAT
^^^^BULLSHIT Jack White would headliner, he can play songs from 4 catalogues of music now (Stripes, Dead Weather, Raconteurs and solo stuff) and is the best guitar player alive.
Im as big of a Jack White fan as you are , but JW would not headline Coachella at this point . The festival is at a new high now , and JW would be a strong sub , at best , or share the top line like Kanye and The Strokes did . If that happens , just be happy with that , ....okay .
^^oh yeah, cause the strokes have had as big an impact on music as jack white ----- FUCKING RETARDED FUCK
he would one thousand percent headline a day
HE WOULD NEVER SUB. Trust me. His side projects? Yes, subs ... But he would headline. He just sold out two nights at wiltern and there was so much demand that he just sold out a new night at the Shrine. So eat a dick
Oh and I'm sorry but is he a fucking headliner on Outside Lands and Lollapolooza?!?!?!?!?!?? Yes I think he is!
If The killers, Gorillaz, Arcade Fire, and Kanye headline????? THEN JACK WHITE DOES TOO.
He may be playing right before one of them, that I won't deny, but he has same billing as those three as does Beck and Foo Fighters... They have 6 bands equal headlining billing. Fact.
@8:56 your insults are pathetic , no reason for it tough guy , everything you commented on would have been just fine without all your angst , i hope your wish does come true about Jack White headlineing , and that you and your big mouth get in a fight , and get kicked out of the fest.probably all bark , little doggie.........ay ay ay
Aretha Franklin in the Willie Nelson/Leonord Cohen type slot? that would be neat seeing her there...imagine everyone singing RESPECT and dancing at sunset??
I think we could finally see Lou Reed there
or what about David Byrne and St Vincent? They are doing the Greek together in October....
all new albums, two have never done coahella as headliners....one just got a taste of it and liked it (Eminem) and one has been asked a billion times to come back....
The Antlers Passion Pit Gaslight Anthem Fang Island Bloc Party Yeasayer MGMT wiz kalifah The XX Underworld dinosaur jr grizzly bear pet shop boys phoenix TOOL daft punk stevie wonder
and i would definitely expect David Byrne finally there with St Vincent probably or solo, i doubt they will ever get the Heads though
The Presets Wu Tang Clan Tyler The Creator Soundgarden The Knife The Avalanches Portishead Avett Brothers my bloody valentine mumford and sons johnny mar Lou Reed franz ferdinand D'angelo culture club ben folds five reunion
and maybe Black Sabbath rebooking? there were supposed to be there
and i have said this before and i think this would be an awesome idea....Eminem and Elton John doing a set together where they do their own songs and their collaboration that they did back in the day and doing some combo songs...i know it sounds crazy, but think about it, it would absolutely kill....people would get majorly into it....
Eminem and Elton John have one song together you fucking idiot, they will never headline anywhere together except in your pathetic little imagination. Epic FAIL
Starting to look like there is a lot of Blur news lately...Coachella defiantly would want them on the lineup if they could have them. Probably only as a sub/ co headliner.
People drastically overestimate the American interest in Blur. The vast majority of people here only know Song #2, and even then they have no idea who sang it, just that it's the "WOOH WOOH!!!!" song.
Brits always overestimate the international appeal of their hometown heroes. Blur, Pulp, and the Stone Roses never had shit for success in North America, and no one gives a crap about them now. They're going to be nostalgia sub-heads at best, drawing small crowds of euro-trash.
Chuck berry should be a sub ... He influenced EVERYBODY. He still tours and he's made a larger role in music's history than most of the legends that have played at Chella
The people that like Blur still come and they are the same people who caught the 2nd best set of the weekend last year at Kasabian. That show was fucking rukus, and everyone there was fuckin laid back and went nuts the entire show, check a youtube clip if you don't believe me. The original group of Coachella goers still go and there are enough unique acts to keep us coming. In fact, I loved it this year that all the douches congregated in the saharra for influential and game changing acts like, Zed's Dead, Guetta, an Avicci, it kept the good shows less crowded.
Already pretty much confirmed for 2013: Muse Yeah Yeah Yeahs QOTSA Beach House Tanlines SALEM The Joy Formidable Foster the People Kid Cudi Timabaland Azealia Banks Silversun Pickups Kylie Minogue No Doubt Alabama Shakes Empire of the Sun Crystal Castles Beast Coast Wavves Pet Shop Boys

@11:14 am: Even though your whole shpiel is full of shit, I will entertain your last question. Nobody considers Bob Dylan because he is dead awful live. Totally incomprehensible and a shell of what he used to be. It's a pity, but there it is.

I'm calling these six right now:
The Afghan Whigs
Daft Punk
My Bloody Valentine
Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Queens of the Stone Age
Soundgarden
Queens of the stone age are more confirmed than anyone. I know josh and his manager
not MBV again , no thanks
and im only saying no to MBV because they will probably be billed in the same time slot they had in 09 and i dont want to stand through that again waiting for the headliner
My Bloody Valentine don't seem likely. Why bring back a recent reunion so soon?
Overheard a conversation today. Deadmau5 on the mainstage...
TOOL is on the bill
And daft
And PJ
Those are the headliners
Get very used to it
Close
It's PJ, daft and green day
"Overheard a conversation today. Deadmau5 on the mainstage..."
I overheard the same conversation, and you misunderstood. The dude said "Dead mouse on the gay's face."
The Rolling Stones will play Sunday.
Pearl Jam will play a night TBD.
Third has not been cemented yet.
Absolutely not Daft Punk.
Deadmau5 asked, not ready. Likely no main stage electronic act this year. Rest of Sahara will be booked closer to.
Dire Straits is the 80s reunion act that was alluded to on the boards. Only person to guess correctly was shot down.
Kylie Minogue
Jurassic 5 reunion
Mumford and Sons (first subheadliner of their day, apparently)
Sigur Ros
Not much more than that has been cemented. Everybody else is talking out of their ass.
Likely Deadmau5, but Skrillex is a definite.
No Doubt, Pearl Jam and Daft Punk.
Pearl Jam is never playing Coachella.
^^^
we will see about that
Enlighten us... Please oh please.... Why would pearl jam never play Coachella?!?! This better be good as it makes no sense
Sweet fuck no Rolling Stones. Spend the $10 mil on a bunch of great undercard bands and let Mick and the other fogeys piss off to the old folks home.
OC Register said Paul Tollett doesn't want Pearl Jam.
Show the link
It woul be great if massive attack returned... REAL great

John Mayer, daft punk, the clash. They should drop all their money on trying to get pink Floyd. Impossible but I'd die happy
Pearl Jam is never happening. Sorry.
That fake poster has two reunions you'll never see at Coachella. Aphex Twin will not be returning.
^why would Aphex Twin never return? makes no sense
and what is the other reunion that would never happen? I am telling u guys, JAck White will be there
A combination of artist dissatisfaction with a prior appearance and fans not being of the target demographic.
I think they have two on lock and are waiting on the third headliner. Rolling Stones are just not likely - they just will not budge on their price. Even if it would be cool etc. Coachella will never, ever, pay artists what they paid Paul and Prince. They don't need to. Lolla on the other hand...

Keep the jokes coming dipshit!
Sunday night headliner is Pete Doherty on bath salts.
100 percent Jack White. 100 percent NOT Daft Punk.
Deadmau5 definitely on the main stage.
2013 is the year that all those "Daft Punk is playing/headlining Coachella" rumors turn out to be true.
The Knife
I'd shit my pants for audioslave
Your pants are safe. Cornell is back with Soundgarden and Audioslave is done.
Soundgarden has a new album coming in the winter so they're a decent candidate.
your all wrong
My Morning Jacket/Daft Punk
Muse
Rage Against the Machine/Tool
Walter J is that really you ???
Yes. My formidable psychic prowess is back and better than ever.
My Morning Jacket will be headlining the South Newark High School Prom next spring. Ticket sales are slow.
Good to have you back Walter J . Please enlighten us with your predictions .
Please tell me the guy up a few comments above me didn't really mean it when he said that tool and rage would co-headline ?!? That's insane. Literally insane.
the new Daft Punk album will be released in just a few short weeks and you can rest assured that they are booked for Coachella :)
Tool and rage would never share a day
Daft Punk
Jack White
Drake
Skrillex, Tiesto, Blur, Stone Roses, Foster the People, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Queens of the Stone Age, Vampire Weekend, MGMT, Wu Tang Clan, Grizzly Bear, The XX, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, The Knife, Sleigh Bells
Do a google search for LA Jay and you'll see he's been full of shit with every prediction he's ever made, and he guarantees Daft Punk every year.
And Walter J was full of shit last year as well.
How anyone thinks drake is a headliner is BEYOND me.... Would never happen
He hasn't made the impact that Dre and snoop have or Kanye or JayZ
It would be deader by the main stage than when the killers played there or when pavement did
If Coachella scrapes the bottom of the barrel with Drake, you'll see a wave of people unloading their tickets on ebay.
And Daft Punk won't be ready by April. Their album won't be out until the end of the year, and 4 months is not enough to put together a new live show.
@ 8:21 -
That is seriously the WORST prediction I've ever seen. Rihanna? Pitbull? Afrojack for the third fucking year in a row? This isn't your local radio station's Jingle Ball.
What's the difference between Rihanna and Pitbull and The Black Keys and David Guetta?
I'm guessing by your guess of pit bull you've never been to coachella
Pitbull would be a perfect fit with today's crowd and Sahara tent.
some other noteables, but still a wish list
Flaming Lips

Hot Chip

Beach House
Edward Sharpe
Gang Gang Dance
Groove Armada
Infected Mushroom

The Knife
Modest Mouse
Mumford & Sons

The Knife is finally happening.

Pitbull has to be the stupidest guess yet, and also makes me a little sad. This used to be a festival where people got excited for My Bloody Valentine, Portishead, Aphex Twin, etc. Now Pitbull and Rihanna? Really?
Just wait until you see what they do with Pitbull.
Monk, what are the possibilities for Aphex Twin?
when you say TOOL and Rage Against the Machine could never co-headline then i you've never seen the 1999 coachella poster. if they did co-headline it would be a throw back to 99', also because they both have new albums out next year and they are from LA.
When you say TOOL and Rage Against the Machine could never co-headline then I guess you've never seen the 1999 coachella poster. If they did co-headline it would be a throw back to 99', also because they both have new albums out next year and they are from LA.
Daft Punk
Muse
Rage Against the Machine/Tool
Same as Vegoose 07'/w Tool
coachella friend is really stupid...
The Black Keys to headline all three nights!
KoRn and Skrillex to co-headline Sunday night with special guests Jacoby Shaddix, Mark Chavez, Crazy Town and a DJ AM hologram
Rolling Stones on Sunday night. Mark my words.
Daft Punk
No Doubt
The Rolling Stones
^^ I could totally buy that
Pitbull? That's money! Mmmm!
No Doubt would be a strong Sub......thats it
@ 2:02 you think I'm really stupid huh, well we'll see who's closest come January.
coachella friend you definately will NOT be the most accurate with those cheesy predictions
Strong sub headlineing predictions
Mumford & Sons
No Doubt
Jack White
more to notice.....
Stone Roses
Fiona Apple
Cpachella friend u are stupid cause I didnt mean that rage and tool can't be on the same poster, I mean they would NEVER EVER EVER NEVER EVER IN A MILLION YEARS co-headline on the same day they way that Kanye and The Strokes did in '11
It would be one or the other
Or they would be on diff days
PROMISE U THAT
Jack white would headline
Fact
Whitney Houston's rotting corpse
coachella friends wow factor comments are a pathetic way to be noticed , and yes....we notice you coachella friend , as a douche , congrats
Jack White reunion with White Stripes would be a headliner , not Jack White by himself headlineing....FACT
^^^^BULLSHIT
Jack White would headliner, he can play songs from 4 catalogues of music now (Stripes, Dead Weather, Raconteurs and solo stuff) and is the best guitar player alive.
headliners: Green Day•No Doubt•Daft Punk
Jack White•Mumford & Sons•Phoenix•Skrillex•The Roots•Eurythmics•the xx•Bassnectar•Grizzly Bear•Armin Van Buuren•Missy Elliott•Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros•Fiona Apple•Metric•Hot Chip•Rusko•Of Montreal•Simian Mobile Disco•Passion Pit•Beach House•Yeasayer•Warpaint•Azari & III•Naked & Famous•fun.•Knife Party•The Sea Urchins•Desaparecidos•Best Coast•Baths•Twin Shadow

reunions from Dire Straits, Lush, Operation Ivy
New daft punk
July 21
See u Indio bitches...
@11:03
Im as big of a Jack White fan as you are , but JW would not headline Coachella at this point . The festival is at a new high now , and JW would be a strong sub , at best , or share the top line like Kanye and The Strokes did . If that happens , just be happy with that , ....okay .
@4:04
There is not a new Daft Punk album coming out on that date , there is no date release .
Sooooooooooo wrong u are
Ay ay ay
Metallica, Neil Young, Stevie Wonder are the OSL headliners. Jack White is subbing for one of them.
He may be playing right before one of them, that I won't deny, but he has same billing as those three as does Beck and Foo Fighters... They have 6 bands equal headlining billing. Fact.
LMFAO, Pitbull and DJ Pauly D
@8:56
your insults are pathetic , no reason for it tough guy , everything you commented on would have been just fine without all your angst , i hope your wish does come true about Jack White headlineing , and that you and your big mouth get in a fight , and get kicked out of the fest.probably all bark , little doggie.........ay ay ay
also Outside Lands and Lolla are shit fest compared to Coachella , so they can have Jack headline
The Black Keys should headline two nights!
Tom Waits in the sunset time on the outdoor would work for me .
I am headlining the shower trailer.
^
you were there this year , maybe thats why the lines were so damn long
Just talked to a member of Culture Club and they have been invited
Eminem
Pearl Jam
Daft Punk
all new albums, two have never done coahella as headliners....one just got a taste of it and liked it (Eminem) and one has been asked a billion times to come back....
its happening /////////
Paris Hilton Saturday Sahara headliner, Kim Kardashian on Sunday.
Spoiled Famewhore Mafia main stage set in 2014
@11:44
Pearl Jam has never been a Coachella headliner either. Stop with fake info.
Jack White is the best guitar player alive? Come on now...people like Jimmy Page and David Gilmour are still alive.
Oh and none of you know shit about who's playing next year so let's all stop pretending to be tough.
John fruscanti is also a better guitarist. I know I prob mispelled that haha
The best guitarist is Madonna.
My predictions, somewhat educated:
Pearl Jam
Beyonce - heard she is talking to the festival
Skillerex, DeadMaus, or maybe Tiesto in Friday night post headliner spot (anyone else likely? MSTRKRFT maybe)
NIN or Coldplay or Tool (please no Tool, please no Tool)
MIA in the dance tent (The Return)
XX
Luscious Jackson
Moby (!!)
Cat Power (for realz)
Morissey
Reunion = the babies
MIA will be reunited with her career.
Skrillex, Kaskade, Pretty Lights, Pitbull, Zomboy, Hot Chip, Steve Aoki, Paris Hilton, Rifoki, Weird Science, Gina Turner, Pauly D, Chase, Status, Jessie J
I think it's fair to say japandroids will be on the bill somewhere
My buddy at Windish said The Knife are a lock.
The Rolling Stones
Daft Punk
Muse
Lush wanted to reunite at Coachella, but Goldenvoice said no? http://consequenceofsound.net/2012/06/interview-emma-anderson-of-lush/
Underworld is on the bill. i know their manager. so THATS cool!!!
DAFT PUNK
RAGE
STONES
that would rule
DAFT PUNK
PHOENIX/EMINEM
TOM PETTY
yup. it's happening.
i would bet Mike Patton will be there, new album out next wk
Nas would be cool as an outdoor theater show....new album due out this summer
coachella said no to pearl jam and lush? makes no sense.
Daft Punk
Pearl Jam
Eminem
i would bet many of these will be there:
The Antlers
Passion Pit

Fang Island
Bloc Party
Yeasayer
MGMT
wiz kalifah
The XX

The Avalanches
Portishead
Avett Brothers
my bloody valentine
mumford and sons
johnny mar
Lou Reed
franz ferdinand
D'angelo
culture club
ben folds five reunion
and maybe Black Sabbath rebooking? there were supposed to be there
and i have said this before and i think this would be an awesome idea....Eminem and Elton John doing a set together where they do their own songs and their collaboration that they did back in the day and doing some combo songs...i know it sounds crazy, but think about it, it would absolutely kill....people would get majorly into it....
Eminem and Elton John have one song together you fucking idiot, they will never headline anywhere together except in your pathetic little imagination. Epic FAIL
The xx fucking suck, you trend whites.
rumors of a M.I.A./YYYs split headliner.
"rumors of a M.I.A./YYYs split headliner."
It's almost like the people throwing out fake headliners don't know the festival is two weekends and requires big names on the top line.
Neither one of those names draws the top line. Ever.
diego mendez wuz here
Starting to look like there is a lot of Blur news lately...Coachella defiantly would want them on the lineup if they could have them. Probably only as a sub/ co headliner.
Coincidentally, Bat For Lashes' American tour for The Haunted Man is not until April 2013.
Fuck Blur. Boring ass, has-been Brit rock.
Last time Albarn was at Coachella with Gorillaz it was a goddamn snoozefest.
Yeah, how dull:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZzu7_MsTfM
B RING BACK UFFIE
You'll have to post another Blur video link. I can't hear anything through all the gay-ass flags.
Blur will have a small crowd full of bros waiting around for the headliner. That crowd in the video will never happen at Coachella.
People drastically overestimate the American interest in Blur. The vast majority of people here only know Song #2, and even then they have no idea who sang it, just that it's the "WOOH WOOH!!!!" song.
The people that would be interested no longer come
Americans care even less about Stone Roses.
Brits always overestimate the international appeal of their hometown heroes. Blur, Pulp, and the Stone Roses never had shit for success in North America, and no one gives a crap about them now. They're going to be nostalgia sub-heads at best, drawing small crowds of euro-trash.
Knife Party just made an appearance at Swedish House Mafia
Chuck Berry is a fecalphiliac.
TOOL
MUSE
RAGE
BECK
All have new albums coming and have played previously.
Tool to drop double album on 12/21/12 (Mayan date!)
Nu-metal is over.
