November

Feel free to copy and paste this to Last.fm as if it were 100% real. That's really the mature thing to do.

It's early, so I'm not guaranteeing anything, yet, but these are looking likely for whatever reason:

As Tall As Lions
Avett Brothers
Craze and Klever
Deerhunter
Devo
Dirty Projectors
Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros
El Gran Silencio
Faith No More
Florence and the Machines
Girls
Hot Chip
Iggy Pop and the Stooges
Imogen Heap
Little Boots
KiD CuDi
MGMT
Miike Snow
Monsters of Folk
Panda Bear
Pavement
Perry Farrell
Phoenix
Pretty Lights
Sleepy Sun
Spoon
Tallest Man on Earth
Tegan and Sara
The Antlers
The Dead Weather
The xx
Vieux Farka Touré
Vitalic
Zoé

Way too early to be correct headliners prediction:
Muse
Pearl Jam
Beastie Boys

Since when is this for "predictions"? You fail.

No clue who the headliners are, yet.

You don't think Pavement will be a headliner? I think they will.

Craig said...

btw, I never commented, but I read this blog A LOT last year and appreciate the info that give us. Thanks a lot.

Does GV have something up there sleeve this year Monk? I mean dates for the fest havent even been posted on the site even though multiple sources have said 16-18th? Any news on why the delay?

Oh my gawd!

btw I can see how Pavement wont headline. Think of The Verve in '08

Pavement is waaaaay bigger / infinitely more awesome than the Verve.
Their New York shows sold out in minutes.

This lineup doesn't do shit for me.

You're a fucking a retard and know nothing about business if you think Pavement will headline.

Regardless of the above poster's typo... he or she is correct.

You're pretty dumb if you think Pavement will headline.

Pavement bigger than The Verve? lolz i'd like to see Pavement headline Glasto. They'll subheadline at best.

The verve is way bigger now than Pavement, Richard Ashcroft is a rock god

Craig said...

You've got to be joking..
Pavement is curating ATP and headlining Primavera fest this year.
Not to mention that the Verve sucks and Richard Ashcroft is an ass spelunker.

"Pavement is curating ATP and headlining Primavera fest this year."

That doesn't mean they can headline Coachella. Primavera is in a different country for one. And ATP doesn't need to appeal to a broad audience like coachella does in order to sell out.

You really think Pavement would get your average concert fan to come to Coachella? The masses don't know who the fuck Pavement is. The Killers and Jack Johnson can headline because they are on the radio and are popular. Get a fucking clue.

Craig said...

I'm not saying headlining the whole festival. Just like Friday. I think they're a hell of a lot bigger than the Verve in the US

Anonymous said...

They wouldn't headline ONE day. For the reasons I mentioned above.

No band in history have headlined Coachella all three days.

Any comment on the Daft Tron rumors?

Anonymous said...

Radiohead will be the 1st band to headline more then one day. Ever they ever headline again.

Anonymous said...

Pavement won't headline, Beastie Boys is possible, but let's hope for something more rad than Muse and Pearl Jam (although Pearl Jam is acceptable, just boring)

Anonymous said...

Muse have a US tour announced for 2010 in april so there is a good chance of them headlining

A Daft Punk tron set is heavily rumored in the Coachella message boards.

Beastie Boys seem likely for the obvious reasons (missing most festivals/shows they were scheduled for last year).

i never said pavement would headline all 3 days.. ya'll are crazy.

Muse is a terrible band. I will be in the Sahara watching Orbital.

Monklish said...

"Daft Tron" isn't happening. It's only rumored on the Coachella Message Boards, because it's what they want. I can't understand why they would want it.

what about Kraft Punk?

Anonymous said...

why won't GV just announce the dates already? I need to book tickets while stuff is cheap. Any ideas on when they will tell us?

Anonymous said...

^^^
They gotta be different as always. Look how last years line up was delayed after they said they would release it on KROQ. I really wouldnt be surprised if they waited until mid Dec. The only thing i will give GV is that they always produce a great line up.

monk, who do you think will be this year's prince/ mccartney headliner?
bowie?
crosby stills nash?

Who?
