Any festival without Pulp in 2011 is a bad cover version. Good lineup so far, though.

The rolling stones would be a great headliner in my opinion, how can you pass on one of the greatest bands of all time? But I'd they are going to need 5-6 million to play I'd rather have great 2nd and 3rd line acts everyday, like last year.
Unless it's Paul McCartney, Geezer rock has no place at the Polo Grounds. The Stones would be a terrible headliner. Honestly, most people would get bored and hit-up the tents.
Put it this way: they might not even be alive in April.

I don't like the Daft Punk about how "they're so proud of their film score that they will tour on it." Like the video said the soundtrack is mostly orchestral movie music. The only song on the whole album I can see them playing along with their other stuff id probably "Derezzed."

i hate to be the one to break this to the fans of this great festival, but this year will unfortunately be similar to the situation that happened after the initial release of the lineup in 2008. most of the acts rumored, especially the headliners (yes, even arcade fire) are not going to be there. this is the time of year when rumors are at the peak, so don't get your hopes up because aside from maybe one artist/s, most of the lineup is going to be repeats. the one artist/s is not radiohead, daft punk, bowie, or pulp. it is someone that would generally be considered an unwelcome guest among the typical coachella veteran community.
sorry....edit. not repeats, but more like smaller, expected acts, in addition to a lot (at least for this festival) of repeats. the bigger(ish) sunday headliner is someone you've heard on the radio many, many times.

The rest of their comments were vague easily predictable statements a la 'One of the headliners will be a male fronted group' to their lots of radio play claim.

@anon750 I am posting everything that I know in mostly real time this year, so this is mostly just conjecture, but
Loretta Lynn is more famous for her non Jack White career than her record with him, so do not expect for them to perform together.
If they want to do a crossover, Phosphorescent seems like the most likely candidate. Have not heard this, yet, but they are the type of band who usually confirms earlier than lineup release.
Beck is always welcome, so it depends on his desire to play and whether or not he needs to count against their budget.
I can not imagine that they would have interest in the Smashing Pumpkins.
I can see them booking Weezer to play the Blue Album, though. Do not have a way to verify if it is happening, though.
Never have heard Culture Club rumored for any Coachella.
Perry is always there. Janes Addiction will not be there.
Mondo Cane would be neat. I am sure they are looking into it for one of their rare odd acts.
If Josh Homme plays, it will be part of a Queens of the Stone Age set.
Busy P is usually there, as well, as you all know.
