I am leaning towards Beasties and Daft Punk rumors not panning out once again, and the headliners being Arcade Fire, Kanye West, and either The Who or The White Stripes. Pulp, Blur, and The Knife all will not happen because the best of the best rare acts only happen on even-numbered years. The Chemical Brothers, Jersey Shore House Mafia, Boys Noize, and either Underworld or a trance dj superstar in the tent.

Doobie, I want to comment on some of your predictions.
First off, I'd say you can basically book Arcade Fire as headlining one day. Just like Muse last year, it seems to be the surest best around.
Second, I do not think people at Caochella would be happy (maybe I'm wrong) if Foo Fighters, Tom Petty, Kings of Leon, Eminem or Blur headlined. Not that they aren't big bands, but they aren't really Coachella-type of bands.
Third, while we all know Radiohead/Daft Punk are rumored every single year and never happen, I do not see how they are any more of a stretch than some of the other acts you have listed. Radiohead should have an album coming out pretty soon, and Daft Punk just released a soundtrack. I'm not saying either will be there but they aren't huge stretches like they have been in years past.
I am not going to venture a guess on who I think the other two headliners will be. Really could be anyone. NOBODY had Jay Z or Gorillaz last year, and Monk said no Macca or Cure in 09. Basically nobody knows (outside of Arcade Fire).
Also:
it would be funny if Foo Fighters, Radiohead, the White Stripes and Blur were there. Seeing as how the lead singers of all four bands were there last year.

@ 10:20 - i agree, it's not likely, but did anyone ever think that Jack Johnson would be a headliner? I guess the Strokes probably dont have as big a following as he did at the time, but I've been surprised at some of the headliners recently. I would think that some solid pop-y smaller acts would be an equally big draw to compensate for the Strokes lack of a big draw - take someone like Lil Wayne, who I put on that date in particular just because popularity-wise, he's bigger. I think Soundgarden or Pearl Jam would also be a suitable Saturday night headliner that would draw a massive crowd.

People as delicious as all these wonderful artists sound.......the biggest headliner would have to be the return of SYSTEM OF A DOWN. Imagine their debuting performance in beautiful coachella after being seperated for sooo long. FIREWORKS MAN!!! Even though they are only touring in europe, it would be a pee in your pants, mind blowing start if they did coachella as a pre-show to their future performances in JUNE.
I personally would love it if they would get cold play & manu chao to return as well.

As someone who watched Bob Dylan play to a half empty minor league ballpark on a bill that included Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp recently I would like to make the bold prediction that he probably won't be headling Coachella. But hey, I'm no insider or anything.
wow, this is the least credible site I've ever seen. First off, lineup is ALWAYS announced late January and its absurd to think GV would announce it this Sunday. Also, they never announce it on weekends.
2nd, you say beastie, daft, arcade, AND kings are playing?! all are valid headliners and they wouldn't pick 4 names of that caliber. Also, they want to cater to as many people so the 3rd headliner will more than likely be a hip hop artist.
Lastly, you've failed to include many expected (and evidenced) acts and only mentioned big names. I guess that's to draw visitors though, right?

If the Coachella message board finds an interview with a band confirming their appearance before I hear that they are playing, it is not reasonable to expect that I will not post them on my list. If someone says that a band told them that they are playing after a show, am I not suppose to ask around to find out if it is true? I do not post my sources for obvious reasons, but I will say that the lunatics that prowl that message board are very good at putting more effort into obsessing over our festival than I am willing to.

Can someone explain to me why everyone is saying Kings of Leon is headlining? The Coachella message board is basically acting like it's confirmed right now, but I haven't heard any reasons as to how this came about.
