January

Here is my latest list. Some of my latest confirmed names will seem familiar to my Coachella message board readers. Feel free to trust or not trust me that I have not been borrowing your efforts to send artists as confirmations. I've always admitted into perusing the board upon occasion and attempting to fact check everyone's posted rumors for my confirmed list. There's a lot of good information on there (it's where I found out about the Pixies/Radiohead in 2004, after all, when someone scanned and posted a picture from a UK magazine), but there's also a lot of bad information (every year since people have been trying to logically prove why Radiohead is headlining again).

I have also included further explanation of my groupings to clarify.

My personal guarantee (i.e. I has sufficient knowledge that I trust these will occur, that is, I've been told that these have been making arrangements to attend the festival as contractually paid acts or clear evidence exists on the internet to confirm their attendance as a paid act):

A Place to Bury Strangers
Animal Collective
Armin Van Buuren
Bajofondo
Band of Horses
The Black Keys
The Bug

The Presets

The Ting Tings
TV on the Radio
White Lies

Probably (I have faith based on certain knowledge that these should occur, that is, there have been discussions between the bands/agents and the organizers and both parties tend to agree on terms but I don't have sufficient evidence due to various reasons to believe this to be 100% true):

Alabama 3
Basement Jaxx
Beck
Blur

Boards of Canada

Built to Spill
Comedians of Comedy
Dent May & His Magnificent Ukulele
Dirty Projectors
Friendly Fires
Flying Lotus

The Knux

My Bloody Valentine
Paul Oakenfold
Steel Pulse

The Mountain Goats
The Prodigy

The White Stripes

Wilco

No factual basis other than I've heard it's possible (My faith is wavering based on various factors that these might occur, that is, these names have been thrown around by the organizers and people that I know which aren't associated with organizing the festival and/or they seem relatively unlikely to occur to me on a personal level):

Eminem
Far
Freebass
Future Sound of London
Jedi Mind Tricks
Mogwai
Paul McCartney

Social Distortion
The Sword
The Vaselines
TRVSDJAM

Your lineup won't be coming out tomorrow, as you've all been expecting. See you next Monday.

Happy Obama day.
