Welcome Back Monk!

LockNes said...

Daft is obviously a headliner. Is Blur headliner status Monk? Or more a Pulp slot?
Does Phoenix hit headliner status this year? I hope not.

Anonymous said...

LOL

Walter J. said...

Blur is a sub, most likely before the Rolling Stones with Daft Punk closing the main stage.

Anonymous said...

Who is not playing at Coachella 2013?

Anonymous said...

Ummmmm weres Atoms for peace?

l u k e said...

NIИ??

Anonymous said...

I am surprised with the addition of NIN, when How to Destroy Angles seem to be the get. Last time NIN played Coachella New Order was right before them... coincidence?

Anonymous said...

"Lana Del Ray"

Do people still care about this executive-manufactured no-talent?

Anonymous said...

Nine Inch Nails almost discredits the whole list for me... why do people think they will be there? Same with Daft Punk.

Even though I would love them both there, I don't see it happening.

Anonymous said...

Blur
Daft Punk
Nine Inch Nails
Paul Oakenfold
The Glitch Mob

I wouldn't mind any of these, though I feel Nine Inch Nails is highly unlikely.

Anonymous said...

Monk, the NIN thing deserves some sort of explanation.

Anonymous said...

Unlikely:
deadmau5 - hiatus
New Order - currently a legacy-crushing joke
Nine Inch Nails - busy with How to Destroy Angels

Why?:
Lana del Rey
Paul Oakenfold

Anonymous said...

deadmau5 isn't on hiatus. he's debuting his new stage show next year and has several shows already booked.

Just say no to Atoms For Piece.

I was chillaxing in vip at The Chell this year and while I was texting ideas to Uwe Boll during the sick beats of Justice some assholes next to me wouldn't shut up about how "great" Radiohead is. They had the nerve to say Radiohead was the most important band of the past 20 years (I guess they never heard of KoRn the creators of "nu-metal" and "dubstep") and were the best of the fest. Don't even get me started on the fact these sad sacks won a bunch of awards soleley because critics told people they were challenging thanks to recording songs backwards and hackneed lyrics like "the rain drops" 46 times. I asked them if they would still care if it wasn't for THE PAY WHAT YOU WANT stunt. And the singer has a lazy eye, too. Is he a fish? Does he not believe in corrective surgeory? I nearly threw up when they moaned for 2 hours without playing their signatory song. I had a girlfriend many years ago who secretly liked Radiohead and even had the book version of Amnesiac they made of the movie to cash in on their obsessive, rich legion. When I found it in her room, I was so tempted to just rip it in half. I dumped her a couple days later.

EL OH EL

Monklish has listed daft punk on her shitfor 3 years straight now.

good lord.

To all of the NIN-naysayers:

1. NIN IS touring in 2013. Dates are already being booked. This is a fact.

2. I don't know if NIN are booked for Coachella or not, but based on the above info, it might make sense.

3. HTDA IS playing Coachella, they are also doing a handful of major markets around the same time. Not sure if this makes it more or less likely we'll see NIN at Coachella.

4. Come back to this post in 3 months and you'll see I was right.

"This is fact"
Ok so where can we fact check this...otherwise, this is a Rumor

Anonymous said...

what is radiohead's signatory song?

whatever the fuck that means.

Anonymous said...

I told you guys that Blur could headline.

Anonymous said...

since you're posting anonymously, you didn't tell anyone anything, idiot.

Anonymous said...

NIN and HTDA at the same festival would be insane.

Anonymous said...

yes. it would be legally incapable of participating in its own defense.

Anonymous said...

Blur can't headline a junior high sock hop in the states.

LockNes said...

I honestly can't believe I even like going to Coachella with all the deuche comments you people make on here. IF you don't like or don't think Monk has a source, or at least puts in an extreme amount of research to make educated guesses...why the fuck do you come here??
Secondly, for all you of BLUR haters, they are a big deal, they closed the Olympics for gods sake. I agree, I don't think they will headline, but they are a first sub, no doubt about it.

Dantox said...

this si going to be F awesome! Daft Punk hope god hear us all!

Welcome back Monk!
Even if only half of this list is true, still very excited!

Daft Punk either is or is not playing.

Who's song was that at the end of game 1 tonight?? Oh yeah Blur. Fuck all you kunt haters. And I spelled it with a k on purpose because you all deserve the special spelling of it.

i know a lot of u think that "whoever is on tour" ends up at coachella, but that is simply not true

many of u are claiming that Daft punk, TOOL and Depeche Mode will be there. that would literally be 2006 Coachella all over again. They repeat many many undercard bands, but not headliners a lot. and especially not the same dance card as some other year., u know??

out of those three i would say Daft is most likely.

and MAYBE Depeche cause it is confirmed that they are going out, but i would not expect TOOL there, there is not a ton of evidence that they have an album coming out for sure, unless one of you can show me otherwise....

I say its
Stones
Daft
Mumford/Phoenix

Anonymous said...

EDM will be nuts again next year, but not necessarily the good stuff of yrs past, more like poppy/commercial/iTunes commercial-y shite again like last year.

DJ Mag did its annual Top 100 list and i would expect anyone that was not there last year from the top 20 to be there, so that means these dudes:

1 Armin Van Buuren (he will DEF be there)

2 Tiesto

3 Avicii (wont be there, was this yr)

4 David Guetta (wont be there, was this yr)

5 Deadmau5 (def will be there)

6 Hardwell

7 Dash Berlin

8 Above & Beyond (prob be there)

9 Afrojack (won't be there, was this yr)

10 Skrillex (i would bet he will be there)

11 Headhunterz

12 Swedish House Mafia (won't be there, theyre almost done and just did it this yr)

13 Markus Schulz

14 Gareth Emery (will be there)

15 Steve Aoki (i know he is gonna be there)

16 Paul van Dyk

17 Nicky Romero

18 Sander van Doorn

19 Aly & Fila

20 Alesso (nope, just was)

Whoop de fucking doo, Blur closed the Olympics. Oh, guess who else was a BIG DEAL and a huge attraction at the Olympics? The fucking SPICE GIRLS!

Recalibrate your globe, mate. Blur are a huge deal in Britain and in most of Europe. No argument there.

They're NOT a huge deal in the states. They never were. Deal with it.

Not a chance in bloody hell they can headline Coachella. NO FUCKING WAY NO FUCKING HOW.

Anonymous said...

Mumford & Sons
Deadmau5 Blur Grizzly Bear

Red Hot Chili Peppers
Atoms for Peace New Order Fiona Apple

Nine Inch Nails
Phoenix Skrillex The Stone Roses

Anonymous said...

tihs is all very doubtful, but nice try monk. you should get a bunch of people looking at your page now and that will be good to help you pay for coachella this year.

Anonymous said...

I love how people seem to think that this clown has any sort of inside info. All dude does is lurk the Coach message boards and repost on what others there have reported, then toss in a couple names out of left field to keep it interesting.

Anonymous said...

Trent feels bad that so few people were able to attend the final NIN shows and was inspired by the final LCD show...he'll be there to say goodbye one last time, which gives second weekenders an advantage.

Anonymous said...

And once again that stupid cunt Monk rips off the message boards and throws in some "wild cards" to throw everyone off. You are less than toe cheese bitch.

Anonymous said...

@820

You know him so well don't you.

Anonymous said...

your headliners are:
Phoenix, Daft Punk and Nine Inch Nails...

I don't know about you but I'd be very very happy with that.

Anonymous said...

@ 8:42 ...let's just say that I'm in the right circle of friends :)

Anonymous said...

That's very entertaining and all, but NIN isn't playing.

Anonymous said...

Are you just going to predict Daft Punk every year until they are actually booked Monk?

Walter J said...

The Who
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Daft Punk

That's all.

Anonymous said...

And I know for a fact NIN won't be there either. Strike 2 Monk. The boards will figure it all out and you can still take all of the credit, no worries.

Anonymous said...

You're an idiot. Korn? Wish I could have the minute back I wasted reading your post.

Anonymous said...

If New Order will be there, and god hope they are, they better make peace with Peter Hook or it will be just 'meh' get. NO without Peter Hook is like Zeppelin without John Paul Jones, The Who without Entwhistle, The Beatle without McCartney. BFD.

Anonymous said...

RHCP w/out Flea.

Anonymous said...

KORN SUCKS DONKEY COCKS!

Anonymous said...

New Order without Peter Hook is like the Pussycat Dolls without that one with the big tits.

Unacceptable.

Anonymous said...

"The boards will figure it all out.."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! Yes, the boards will "figure out" how to post fucking dogfort pictures and circle jerk themselves straight to hell.

Beyond that, don't expect much.

Anonymous said...

To support the idea of Daft Punk playing, we have a graphic with the group's logo and a random date and Monklish. For Daft Punk not playing, we have at least one festival promoter saying they aren't touring at all next year and all the times Monklish was wrong about them.

Anonymous said...

I tried to tell you all on the last thread that someone got it right. It wasn't Monklish.

Anonymous said...

Monk didn't predict Daft Punk last year you bunch of degenerate fucks.

Anonymous said...

I was just at my local supermarket and heard Blur's 'There's No Other Way' playing while I shopped for salad dressing! :D

Anonymous said...

The tweet from the festival promoter about DP doesn't mean shit. Even if he already had DP booked, he'd say the exact same thing since promoters have all the incentive in the world to deny deny deny and ZERO incentive to be truthful.

The facebook quotes from the photographer supposedly booked by DP regarding several Euro festivals gets more credibility since he's not under the same vow of silence that promoters are, and thus has less to lose by being honest.

Oh, and fuck Blur and their fucking elevator music. Albarn's last venture to the polo fields resulted in a goddamn snoozefest with Gorillaz, so he can piss right the fuck off.

Anonymous said...

He could have just ignored the question. Most just stay completely silent unless a false rumor gets out of control.

Anonymous said...

I <3 Blur!

DAFT PUNK IS NOT PLAYING PEOPLE. For fucks sake the only evidence we have that they are working on a new album are a couple of third party quotes and a mix they made for a fashion show. The "No End" album cover image was already proven to be pure bullshit.

Anonymous said...

seems legit ---> http://www.last.fm/festival/3288273+Coachella+Valley+Music+-+Arts+Festival+2013

Daft Punk are going to play the FUCK out of Coachella in 2013 and it's going to be greater than anyone can possibly imagine.

GUYS I HERD DAFT PUNK IS PLAYINNNN

That's ^ fake. I know for a fact Tame Impala won't be there.

Anonymous said...

Psy will play his song on the main stage.

Anonymous said...

Proxy is coming back.

Anonymous said...

Anyone who is not predicting that Eminem will headline Coachella is wrong.

James Murphy said...

They are not playing Coachella, because Daft Punk is playing at my house.

Mars Inc. said...

M&M's will be at Coachella.

Guy Ritchie said...

My ex wife said she will be headlining.

Ali G said...

She told me the same ting in back of a limo. Booyakasha!

Anonymous said...

I have said this before and I will say it again.

The headliners are
TOOL
Daft Punk
Eminem

They cannot afford the Stones, well they could, but they just don't need them as it sells well without the headliners of old where u said "how the hell did they get them?! (Prince, McCartney, etc.).

Anonymous said...

Well, whoever "vv" is might be on to something. NIN may be touring soon: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/trent-reznor-nine-inch-nails-working-on-new-music-possible-tour-20121107

NIN 2013 has been in talks awhile. I can confirm this fact as well. However, from my knowledge, HTDA will be at Coachella, not NIN.
