Anon @2:42: Are you saying that both Foo Fighters and Bjork would take SUB-headlining spots AFTER TV On the Radio? That's ridiculously laughable.
Also, Friday has way too many sub-headlining acts to be even realistic (Beirut, Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes, Florence + The Machine, My Morning Jacket, Phoenix, Queens of the Stone Age and Feist...not to mention Bjork and Foo Fighters [who wouldn't subheadline]). There isn't enough time in the day.
Working with booking WU LYF for a show at my university here in Orange County. I was trying to get a show in November after their Nov. 22nd date at the Troubadour, but their manger said they are only available in the area around April 19th.
@242 Bjork has already headlined twice, why would she be the 4th act listed on her day?
Also I think I read somewhere that My Morning Jacket is going to be doing a tour abroad in Spring of next year. I think they're going to be in New Zealand or Australia during Coachella. I could be wrong.
Looks like the Foo Fighters/Queens of the Stone Age tour will hit California in mid-April, so I'd bet on that being one of the headliner/subhead combos.
@2:11 You are wrong about MMJ. They are in New Zealand a week before Coachella. It is fairly common for artists to play Australia right before Coachella (see Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2007) because if you are going to come back from Australia/New Zealand to the United States you will have to go through California. If anything those dates make MMJ more likely to play
@2:30 where are you getting those tour dates, just checked foo fighters and QOTSA's websites and they have no information about that tour.
@3:21 Wrong. Coldplay is headlining Friday night. Saturday it's No Doubt with Justice playing the main stage after them. Sunday is the only one where the info is scarce.

if that's the famous Walter J list, i'll be shocked if he hits 50%. as it stands, he's only 32% correct, and i don't think that they have too many more acts to book that will boost his percentages much higher.
@ 8:57 How can Walter J be 32% "correct" if they haven't even announced the line-up yet? Is he accurate to you, because you're speculating the same? Or is it because he's been posting "rumored" bands that the board have been throwing around for a bit now?
The more lists I read, the more reasons not to go. What line-up: shitty hip- slop, bad neo- whatever, the emperors new clothes bands of the moment, and ...oh doesn't matter.
@10:11 you should leran what words (specifically debut) mean.
For instance: "your grandmother is coming over to debut the 'hot carl'" would be an incorrect statement, because she's been using it for years. It may be the first time I've seen it, but its not a debut.
Your saying actually made me lol, and I would like to have your permission to use that. Debuting something at Coachella was Daft Punk in 06. You should have said something like he's bringing his new set up to Coachella (which he is). At least you're a funny fuck hole.
"You are full of shit. I have walter j's accuracy rating at 46%."
i don't care what you "have" it as. i was telling you what it was.
also, radiohead are headlining. "oh, you must be saying this because of the tour announcement?" well, no. remember that shit rag that leaked the no doubt and radiohead headlining appearances? they were only half right. no ska headliner in sight. the other two headliners are a shitty bro rock band and daft punk.
not to give any credibility to the post but how on earth could you complain about a "Bro Rock" act if Daft and Radiohead are on the bill. With the talking heads and bowie never going to happen, 2/3 from "dreamchella" would be unreal.
Which acts on the Monklish list aren't playing? Most accurate speculation or not, it's a statistical inevitability since no post has ever been 100% accurate.
There are not really that many headliners that it COULD even be...there arent that many anymore in my opinion.
I mean who hasnt done it that makes senze even?
Maybe these:
White Stripes (but they are done, or are they, cash thrown at that duo might change Meg's anxiety REAL fast)
Pearl Jam (this just HAS to happen, HAS TO, why why why has it not????)
David Bowie (never happening, he is pretty ill lately i hear)
Waters doing The Wall (we already got him once, i can see it happening again, i just dont think this equals two wknds as we have already had him with Darkside, but The Wall is the better album)
Foo Fighters (they are on fire, makes sense but i hear Grohl never wants to do Coachella again cause his kids and wife had to be held back because Jay Z had the backstage area on lockdown when he came into headline after the Vultures played and he was pissed that they pulled such a dick movie as Hova took the stage)
Eminem and Dr Dre (if Detox comes out, these two could be fun as hell, but Eminem's performance at Bonnaroo was nothing compared to
Metallica (they could tear that joint up and from what i hear they already did at the Big Four)
REM (well they retired but they have not done it, we will prob see them come back and do it in like 2015)
The Who (its only half the band at this point, so i dont even care, but they almost did it what two yrs ago, or was that last year?)
The Stones (they ARE going on their 50th anniversary tour, accept that they might open it at Coachella or close it there in '13)
U2 (they just wrapped up their tour, but they have not done it surprisingly)
Outkast
Beasties (why do people think they arent still a headliner and why has no one been mentioning them on here for months, this is a solid and likely thing as they have yet to go out and support their new album at all, i know they did it on 03 but its like they never did that was so long ago!)
Bob Dylan (dont think he can put on the show he once could)
Tom Petty (doesnt really fit the crowd i dont think, more Bonnaroo)
THESE HAVE DONE IT but i can see it happening again:
Radiohead (this one just is...accept it) Daft Punk Coldplay TOOL

Daft punk did an interview in France today and said they are doing a large show in america to start off a small tour in 2012...did not confirm where but said they are booked, it was on le Mouv
What is the le Mouv link for the Daft interview? I can't find it on their site. IF it's true....maybe we should all start freaking out that DP will be there.
@11:51, it says they may do a couple shows in the spring, indicating the shows are still hypothetical, meaning they aren't booked yet & if they only do a couple more, they would end it closer to home.
@Anon 11:51. Exactly. All these nay-sayers will be eating their words come January or February when the line-up is announced and Pulp's name is right there on it.
Yeah monk a ton of things have went down since your last post. Radiohead has announced a tour, much more PULP info has been circulated, and Jeff Magnum has announced a tour. Come on Monk, can you add 5 people to your list?

All I'm going to say is I don't want to see No Doubt and Rhianna in the line up, I can deal with who ever else may get booked.
I will be in the Sahara bringing the beats!
@ 10:11 Sorry but, from what I've heard, No Doubt will be there. I doubt Rihanna will be though. So glass half-full.

I know Amon Tobin's booking agent. He'll be there debuting, at Coachella at least, his new live show. It's sick.
I know John C. Reilly. He won't be there but it's still pretty cool...
hahahahahah^
Amon Tobin won't have a new live set up to debut at Coachella. He hasn't even been touring that long with his new setup you fuck hole
Coldplay/No Doubt/Foo Fighters would be the worst headliners ever.
Good thing it's Radiohead, Coldplay, No Doubt.
I bet Walter J will end up having a better accuracy petcentage than Monklish when all is said and done.
if that's the famous Walter J list, i'll be shocked if he hits 50%. as it stands, he's only 32% correct, and i don't think that they have too many more acts to book that will boost his percentages much higher.
@ 1:14 That's the set up that he'll be using at Coachella, you fuck hole. He hasn't used it at the fest before, therefore, he's DEBUTING it.
As the saying goes, you're a load that your mom should have swallowed.
@ 8:57 How can Walter J be 32% "correct" if they haven't even announced the line-up yet? Is he accurate to you, because you're speculating the same? Or is it because he's been posting "rumored" bands that the board have been throwing around for a bit now?
Some of you care too much.

Sounds like a suprefan insult.

SHLOHMO better be playing Coachella 2012!
Your mom is brining her new set-up to Coachella.
So what is Radiohead going to do in the month between the Arizona date and Coachella?
DJ-ing @ Low End Thoery
@7:12 I doubt that's their entire tour. They're probably just slowly rolling out the dates.
Besides, there's plenty of cities, and a country (Mexico), nearby that they can go to during that time.
"You are full of shit. I have walter j's accuracy rating at 46%."
i don't care what you "have" it as. i was telling you what it was.

name the 'bro-rock band' or get fucked
Bro rock band? That leaves out Coldplay because that's chick stuff. Chili Peppers? Foos? Incubus?

Nirvahna with Rome
Drake,Puddle of Mud,Far East Movement,Scott Weiland,
Black Eyed Peas

@11:39 Bro-rock band? I'm leaning towards it being RHCP, which would be awful!
Jeff Mangum?
If there's a bro-rock band headlining its gonnabe foos.
Fuck Jeff Mangum. Way to waste a Sub.
After thorough calculations, i have walter j's accuracy at 113%

whats a hipster?
Daft Punk will be there
I think you're confusing Daft Punk with Justice. Justice will be there; Not Daft Punk.
Daft Punk will also NOT be there. But they will be somewhere, existing. So you're kinda right...
I LOOOOOOOVE The Shins. Please be true ; )

Radiohead (this one just is...accept it)
Daft Punk
Coldplay
TOOL
I am calling it
FRI - Metallica
SAT - Daft Punk
SUN - Radiohead
There are not really that many headliners that it COULD even be...there arent that many anymore in my opinion.
I mean who hasnt done it that makes senze even?
Maybe these:
White Stripes (but they are done, or are they, cash thrown at that duo might change Meg's anxiety REAL fast)
Pearl Jam (this just HAS to happen, HAS TO, why why why has it not????)
David Bowie (never happening, he is pretty ill lately i hear)

Eminem and Dr Dre (if Detox comes out, these two could be fun as hell, but Eminem's performance at Bonnaroo was nothing compared to Kanye at Chella, i saw both and even though i hate Kanye he fucking BLEW Eminem away performance-wise BIG time)
Metallica (they could tear that joint up and from what i hear they already did at the Big Four)
REM (well they retired but they have not done it, we will prob see them come back and do it in like 2015)
The Who (its only half the band at this point, so i dont even care, but they almost did it what two yrs ago, or was that last year?)

No Tool please....the music is great but the show is boring. MF just stands at the back, do frontal lighting, no comments...blah blah blah.
Here you go. Have a nice day.

my guess is most people already know about that. thanks for sharing
Someone link the Daft Punk story please

Shins,My Morning Jacket,Tv on the Radio,Rihanna,Skrillex,
Daft Punk
Foo Fighters,Pulp,Florence & the Machine,The Roots,Aphex Twin
Radiohead
Justice,Queens of the Stone Age,Iggy Pop & the Stooges,Cyress Hill,Foster the People
^ i can confirm this
@ 9:53 yup you got it right with that one, no need for me to post anything else
@ 9:53 Damn who told you?! FML
We knew it all along . We are so smart .
I would not be mad at that lineup
^ You wouldn't be mad? You would be mad if you didn't cum in your pants if that was the lineup.
GV will have people running around naked on the polo fields if that is the lineup
there is no link to the daft punk story because the person that said that they were interviewed on le mouv is a liar.
daft punk will be at both coachella weekends as a headliner. details of their tour and new album will begin to "leak" around christmas.
wait...what
Is someone actually predicting Metallica is going to headline? Ugh....
Pulp isn't playing.
for the person asking which 3 monklish has wrong so far, they are digitalism, kings of convenience and pulp.
daft punk playing coachella is like herpies.
@4:50, source?
Pulp is playing.
^ They sure are.
@ 5:02 What does that even mean?
@ 4:50. How do you know she's wrong? None of those bands have denied it.
no Digitalism at coachella?? BLASPHEMY!!
PLEASE DO A NEW POST MONK!
Does not bode well for Pulp:

I ran into donald glover today. childish gambino is a lock.
^I ran into my deadbolt earlier today. Coincidentally it was also locked...
anon@1048
How does that not bode well for Pulp. It says "we may do some concerts in the spring and graciously bow out"
If anything that ups their rumor cred
with Roger Waters and Radiohead tour dates placing them around the west coast both a month before the festival mean it could likely be
Coldplay
Radiohead
Roger Waters
?
What has Paul said about repeat headliners regarding this year?
@11:51, it says they may do a couple shows in the spring, indicating the shows are still hypothetical, meaning they aren't booked yet & if they only do a couple more, they would end it closer to home.
^ He has to say "may" you idiot. He is contractually obligated to not announce the show. Fucktard
@Anon 11:51. Exactly. All these nay-sayers will be eating their words come January or February when the line-up is announced and Pulp's name is right there on it.
Just like my orange juice, I'd prefer Coachella to be pulp free.
^ Lame and corny attempt at being humorous.
@anons 800 & 834
Thank you for being rational, intelligent human beings.
DAFT PUNK IS HAPPENING. OMG
^ You forgot the NOT before happening.
Walter J FTW
FUCK monklish!
Justice closing Main Stage after Pearl Jam headlining set
Daft Punk headlining after My Morning Jacket
Radiohead headlining after Queens of the Stoneage
Avicci, Bassnectar & Sasha & Digweed closing out the Sahara
^ Nope
You wanna know why Pulp isn't playing?............because they STINK.
BREAKING NEWS : Nickelback is HAPPENING!!!!! GOOD NEWS GUYS ILL CONFIRM WHEN I HAVE MORE DETAILS. K THX BYE
Got a Lykke Li confirmation at the Pomona show.
Where is the new fucking list
*waits for Monklish to make an immaculate return*
Yeah monk a ton of things have went down since your last post. Radiohead has announced a tour, much more PULP info has been circulated, and Jeff Magnum has announced a tour. Come on Monk, can you add 5 people to your list?
Jeff Mangum and Pulp both fucking blow. Let's hope both are far from the polo fields!
Jeff Mangum didnt announce a tour -he's been on tour for 2 months now. It just got expanded and is headed west though.
He and Pulp certainly do not blow you as ass face. Both are brilliant and you suck.
Brilliant? Overrated.
